Two nekkid runs and eight bunny comparison demos.
Heh, I had totally forgotten this section. I think the reason is lack of demos but now two players made this mini update possible with their
Bunny Comparison improvements. :)
- e1m1: Rutger Baks learnt a new bunnying technique and cut his time down to 24.47 which resulted 18th place.
- e1m6: Rutger is getting closer to the optimal 9 seconds mark with this demo: 10.26. 23rd, same time as Martin Selinus and Daniel Andersson!
- e2m1: The legendary e1m1-trickmaster Jonathan Lenhardt improved his already sub-8s demo to 7.95, rising three steps to 13th. Rutger beat Damian Kulot with a 8.11, ranking too high to count.
- e4m5: the|navigator wanted to be as fast as Marvin - 12.46 - 12th place.
Nice bananas.

Some good and some odd - 13:31
This time we got 9 demos.
Bunny Comparison
- 100m: Damian Kulot learnt to bunny and gave us a neat 10.69, which barely made it to the top 20.
- Adam Lewandowski improved his bunnies and got a 10.18, 5th place.
- Karol Urbanski did a surprise attack with a 10.10, getting ahead of Jason.
- Jason Hochreither didn't let Karol keep the 2nd place and quickly responded with a 10.01. He won this round, but who joins the club of sub-10s next?
- e2m1: Damian bunnied his way through the map and got 8.16, Xth place (I can't be arsed to check positions for demos above 7.99 :P).
- e4m5: Adam complained that he had already recorded a faster demo before the previous update but things don't work that way here. Only the demos in the inbox matter. :) Anyway, his new time is 11.86, 3rd place.
Careful
- Tom Nguyen didn't want escape from e3m6 and cut 1 second off from his previous demo to get a 0:25, matching the current iD record.
Naked
- I recorded some naked demos on close but there were disagreements whether they should be accepted into the archive or not. In any case, a sloppy Easy 100% in 1:19 and a better Nightmare 100% in 0:49 can be found from the misc demos page. The future of non-id maps in the other demos section yet remains a mystery...

Four small elephants - 23:30
This update isn't massive but there are some very good demos!
Bunny Comparison
- 100m: At first, we start off with a less impressive demo, I improved my previous record to get a 11.37.
- e1m1: The man who almost lives in e1m1 - Jonathan Lenhardt - finally defeated Peter Horvath's demo with an awesome 21.78. First place, congratulations!
- Adam Lewandowski went without the barrel boost and managed to get 22.83, snatching 7th place.
- e4m5: Adam recorded his first e4m5 demo, finishing annoyingly close to 11 seconds mark, and got 12.04, 6th place. Next time under 12 seconds, right?
Careful
- Tom Nguyen pwned Mathias' e3m6 record by 1 second to get 0:26. I hope those torches didn't burn your feet.

I'm all out of Cara Mints! - 12:22
Just four demos this time:
Bunny Comparison

- e1m6: Flavio Quadros got 9.78 giving him 7th place.
- e2m1: Adam got 7.94 giving him 12th place. Congratulations to Adam who has now joined the "Filthy Few" :-)

Cara Mints are yummy! - 17:10
Just a few demos this time:
Bunny Comparison
- 100m: Newcomer, Jason Hochreiter got 10.11 giving him 2nd place! Can we expect to see a 0:09, Jason?
- Our 2nd newcomer, Adam Lewandowski got 10.35 giving him 10th place.
- And oldtimer, Rutger Baks got 10.92 giving him 26th place.
- e1m1: Jonathan Lenhardt finally got past the 0:22 mark and recorded a 21.93 giving him 2nd place!
- Adam got 24.74 giving him 19th place. Just one spot behind me... :-)
- Jason got 24.84 giving him 21st place.
- e1m6: Jonathan got 10.26 giving him 21st place.
Careful
- Flavio Quadros filled the empty hole for e3m7 in 0:52. Those spikes towards the exit can suck a nut!
- Tom Nguyen improved e4m3 by 2 seconds over Jonathan, getting 0:44.

- Bergendorff did e3m7 in 0:48, 10 seconds faster than Stubby.
Coop
We received a few careful coops over the past few months, but decided that we were not going to add them. But when I was writing this update I discovered a bug in the coop section scripts which had to be fixed. So while I did that, I added some code for careful coops as well. So there you are. Bleh. Don't go making them.

- e4m8 2-player careful in 1:01 by Jaakko and Basil

Did he get 21? - 18:05
Did someone get 21 on e1m1? Yes! I did!
My new bunny comparison time on e1m1 is now
21.96. Check it out :) Damn I'm proud.
Other news in bunny comparison:
- 100m: Flavio Quadros got 10.26 landing him at 3rd place.
- Dmitry Dementjev got 10.28 which means 4th place.
- Jonathan Lenhardt did 10.74,
- and Paul Davies did 11.06. Almost 10?
- e1m1: If you missed it, I got 21.96, giving me the 2nd place after Peter :)
- Apart from my own demo, Tom Nguyen got his first 22 (22.87 in fact),
- and GinKo got it in 23.61.
- e1m6: GinKo did it in 9.84.
- e2m1: GinKo got a rather good 07.83 which gave him 4th place right after Robert.
- Jaakko Alakopsa sent in a 08.76.
- e4m5, Manslay got 12.12,
- and the|navigator did 12.80.
Only one careful demo this time! It's from
sshplur, it's on
e4m1, and it's
0:36, 2 seconds faster than the|navigator.
GinKo sent in a cheated nightmare run on e4m2. It's 0:26, thus 3 seconds faster than Rutger's old demo.
NahkahiiR and David Spickermann teamed up for a cheated 2-player nightmare 100% marathon through episode 1 of Quake, and finished it in 7:34.
Last demo this time is a collection of demos rather than anything else. A collection that has been sitting in our inboxes too damn long, to be precise. It's the|navigator who sent in 99 different trick demos from October last year to January this year. We finally got the idea to just upload them all as a big bunch... It must be better than not doing anything with them at all? Grab them here, watch them all, or ask the|navigator in #qdq which ones are the best :)

Twofish - 18:30
HEY!
Careful demos and there's a lot...
- Tom Nguyen improved e1m4 by a second over Arturo and got 0:37.
- Tom also got 0:39 on e1m5, two secs faster than David Spickermann.
- With the new progs linked in the update below, people started running e1m7 like they had ants in their pants. First one to get 0:18 was Jonathan Lenhardt. Following him was Flavio and...
- ...Tom, who also sent in 0:17 a few days later.
- Jonathan improved his own e1m8 by 3 seconds to get 0:48.
- Tom had a go on e2m3 and improved Jaakko's time by too many seconds, getting 0:52.
- I was ordered by someone to improve my e2m5 and did so by 11 seconds. New time 1:50.
- Jonathan found a clever use of a fiend, and beat my e2m6 by a second to 1:39,
- but I took it back a little later, with 1:35.
- Tom defied the annoyances on e2m7 and beat Jaakko by some huge number of seconds, getting 0:37.
- Paul Davies had another look at e3m3 and improved his own time by 4 seconds to 0:45.
- Jonathan got 0:36 on e4m3, 2 seconds faster than David Hocking.
- Finally, e4m8. Tom got 1:45 and then 1:38, heaps of seconds faster than Jaakko :)
Cheated demos! Well, there's only one, and it's by me. I beat Jozsef by a second on the
e1m4 NR. New time
0:10.
Bunny Comparison
- e1m1: Jonathan improved his time by a little to get 22.69.
- Arturo Garcia Lasca joined the 0:22-with-no-barrel crew with 22.81, taking 5th place.
- e2m1: Arturo nicked 4th place from Jozsef with 07.86.
- Jonathan got 07.97.
- e4m5: Arturo improved a little, getting 12.12...
- but Flavio Quadros managed to beat the shit out of not only Arturo but everybody with this 11.76. Pretty good for a newbie? First place.
I bid you adieu.

A fish - 15:30
Hey hey dudes etc. General news first; we have prepared a new version of the careful stats patch. The only difference between this new version and the old one is that this one lets you finish e1m7. Now you can send in careful demos on e1m7, ep1 marathons or even ID1 marathons ;) Get the progs
here and check it out.
Careful demos
- Jonathan Lenhardt improved his old e4m1 by one second to get 0:38.
- Tom Nguyen gave Arturo Garcia Lasca quite the trouting on e4m4, improving Arturo's time by 3 seconds with this 0:46.
- Flavio Quadros finally did end in 0:33, one second faster than the|navigator.
Bunny comparison.
Jonathan Lenhardt sent in a couple of demos which in the end boil down to this:
- e1m1 0.10 seconds faster, to 22.75. Still 4th place (phew...)
- e2m1 also 0.10 seconds faster, to 8.14.

Massively mega many demos - 18:05
Cheated demos first! We have one easy run, and it's by
me. On his very birthday I deprive Martin of his old
e4m4 record by sending in a
0:17. Happiest gratulations ;)
Bunny Comparison
- Paul Davies improved his 100m by 12 hundredths of a second to get 11.64.
- Jonathan Lenhardt improved his e2m1 by 7 hundredths of a second to get 8.24 and his e4m5 by 32 hundredths of a second to get 13.12.
- Newcomer Rodrigo "Sata" Godoy enters the fun by sending an e2m1 run in 9.76, arriving at the exit only 0.00008 seconds slower than Richard. Welcome to SDA.
And that's it already! :)
Monday, January 30th by Mandel
Other demos of the month - 20:18
Bunny comparison!
Tom Nguyen did bunny comparisons on e1m6 and e4m5, and beat the crap out of everybody with 9.57 on e1m6, and 11.89 on e4m5. Two first places, now that ain't bad...
Flavio Quadros sent us a 100m run long long ago but I somehow lost it. Now again he enters the tables as an honoring number 11 with 10.50.
Jonathan Lenhardt did e1m1 in the fantastic (if I may say so myself) 22.85, getting in at fourth place. He also did 100m in 10.94 and e4m5 in 13.44.
Careful!
- Tom went ahead and did e1m2 one second faster than his old record, which means 0:30. And I can't believe it. Arturo also did a 0:30 demo recorded with normal qdqstats where he didn't take any damage, whilst running for the 0:29 proper ER. It won't go in any tables, but I just thought I'd let you all know.
- Arturo Garcia Lasca on the other hand improved the e4m4 by 4 seconds over Jon to get 0:49,
- and e4m7 by a sec over Robert to get 0:43.
- And Jonathan filled the weird doom2_07 hole with a 0:03. He also sent in a bunch of other demos but they were all the same 0:07 demo marked as 0:03 and I don't know what was going on there...
Cheated!
ER
- Arturo did e1m2 in 0:24, a sec faster than Martin.
- I did e4m8 in 0:33, a sec faster than Jonny.
EH
- Arturo did e1m3, first in 1:04,
- and then in 1:02. Tablefillers.
- Arturo also did e1m4 in 0:57, 2 secs faster than Martin.
NR
- I did e4m8 in 0:30, 4 (?) secs faster than Jozsef.
NH
- Arturo did e1m1 in 0:53, 4 seconds faster than himself way back,
- e1m2 in 0:51, 3 seconds faster than Thomas,
- e1m4 in 1:25, 7 seconds faster than Thomas,
- and e1m6 in 0:48, tablefiller.

Here's what it boils down to - 19:00
Ya folks gotta not expect this section to be updated that very much more often than once a month. After all, it's a ploy section - something extra. Having said that, here are the newest demos.
Bunny Comparison
- 100m saw Tom Nguyen snatch second place in the list with his 10.16
- Martin Selinus got 10.37,
- and Dmitry Dementjev 10.41.
- Jonathan Lenhardt did 11.27
- and Paul Davies did 11.76
- e1m1 saw Jonathan do 23.16,
- and Tom do 23.23.
- e1m6 saw Tom nab my fourth place with 9.70,
- and Jonathan do 10.31.
- e2m1 had Dmitry take fifth place with 7.89.
- Martin got 7.93.
- Tom got 7.96.
- Jonathan got 8.31.
- e4m5 had some violent action, where Robert Maglic took the first place from me with 11.91.
- Arturo Garcia Lasca got 12.23.
- Martin got 12.46.
Careful
- Jaakko Alakopsa did end in 0:36,
- only to see Jonathan improve it to 0:34 just 317 hours later.
- Jonathan also did e1m8 5 seconds faster than Jaakko, which means 0:51,
- e4m3 buncha seconds faster than Jaakko, getting 0:56,
- and e4m4 2 seconds faster than himself, getting 0:53.
One single cheated demo has arrived in inbox since the last update; it was
Arturo who took on the easy 100% on
e1m6, improving the old Jozzle-demo by 3 seconds to get
0:43.
One isn't a lot, and neither is two. Coop easy 100% saw two demos this month, namely e3m3 in 0:48 by Jaakko and Jonathan,
and e4m7 in 0:58 by Justin Fleck and Evan Wagner.
Weeee.

All holes filled? - 12:25
Here's the latest demos in the 'other' categories. First up, cheated runs:
- Thomas Bergendorff did e2m7 easy run in 0:30, one second faster than Jozsef.
- I did e3m5 easy run in 0:33, two seconds faster than Jozsef,
- and the nightmare run in 0:35, two seconds faster than Jordi!
Jaakko Alakopsa has been busy filling the holes in the careful section. Not too many holes left to fill now are there? Anyways, here are the demos he made:
Martin Selinus is the only other runner who has been careful lately. The outcome is
e3m1 run in
0:24, 3 seconds faster than the|navigator.
Now, bunny comparison!
- Martin Selinus improved his 100m time to 10.41 snatching 6th place.
- Tom Nguyen finally managed 23.83 on e1m1...
- ...only to be run past by Arturo Garcia Lasca and his 23.51.
- David Spickermann did e2m1 in 8.56,
- and Jaakko Alakopsa did it in 9.14.
- e4m5 saw a 13.48 from Jonathan Lenhardt,
- and a 13.76 from David Spickermann.
And that's it!
Tuesday, November 15th by LLCoolDave
Take Care - 18:10
There's a whole bunch of careful demos in this update.
- e1m4 has been a quite popular level recently. Jaakko Alakopsa started out with a 0:42. Paul Davies countered with a 0:40. However, Arturo Garcia Lasca added some more minor tricks to take the time down to 0:38.
- Mathias Thore did e2m4 in 1:32 and e2m5 in 2:01.
- Jaakko deserves the bad luck award of the week. He did e3m1 in 0:57. Jonathan improved it to 0:27.
- Jaakko got 0:45 on e4m1, Jonathan followed up with 0:39.
- Jaakko got 1:20 on e4m3. This is the only record he got in this update.
- Jonathan beat Jaakko on e4m4 by 8 seconds with a time of 1:01. Not satisfied, he first got 1:00, then improved that by another 5 seconds to 0:55.
- Tom Nguyen decided to improve e4m6 and got 1:10, which he improved by another second to 1:09, beating, take a guess, Jaakko's old record by 8 seconds. That guy's got some bad luck.
Some more Bunny comparison demos:
- Arturo hopped to 6th place on 100m with a time of 10.44
- Jonathan did e1m1 in 23.74, e1m6 in 10.54 and e2m1 in 8.68
Sunday, November 6th by Mandel
Smooth Door to Chthon revolution - 12:14
Bunny comparison is where it's been happening recently:
- Peter Horvath snatched first place on e1m6 with 9.61.
- Arturo Garcia Lasca took the second place from Timo with 9.63
- Arturo also did e1m1 in 23.72, e2m1 in 7.98, and e4m5 in 12.50.
The careful section:
- Tom Nguyen improved his e1m2 from the last update by one second. This makes the new record time 0:31 and NOW it's truly incredible :)
- Robert Maglic engaged his power bunnies on e4m7 and took the time down one second to 0:44 which obviously is a damn good time!
Robert also took on the cheated nightmare run on
e1m3 and made it one second faster than Martin, which means
0:23.
To round things up, the american duo Justin Fleck and Evan Wagner sent in another cheated easy 100%. This time they cleaned the vermin off of e2m3 in 0:43.
Saturday, October 22nd by Mandel
Look it's some demos! - 20:51
Bunny comparison demos!
Damian 'Ankh' Kulot did e1m1 in
26.98, e1m6 in
10.56, and e4m5 in
14.15.
Jonathan 'the|navigator' Lenhardt also improved his time on e2m1 to
8.78.
The American Cooping Ogrekillers, "Taco", consisting of Justin Fleck and Evan Wagner have been at it again. This time they were so lazy they didn't even manage to write txt files for their demos. All of these demos are cheated easy 100% by the way:
Careful demos next, there's 10 of'em:
- Robert Maglic did e1m1 in a quite incredible 0:22. Somebody please tell him this demo doesn't suck. May I suggest using a troutslap to do this.
- Tom Nguyen did e1m2 in an almost incredible 0:32. Apparently it's quite an annoying level!
- Robert Maglic also took on e1m3 and got 0:54 using all the tricks in the book, including some new ones.
- Martin Selinus finally sent in a few demos he did a while ago, first one on e2m2. It's 0:36.
- Jaakko Alakopsa did e2m3 in 1:15. Quite a long route, but perhaps that's necessary.
- I did e2m6 in 1:40. I have to kill the vore AND take the rune in order to exit.
- Martin Selinus's second demo is on e3m2 and it's 0:40.
- I did e3m6 in 0:27, only two seconds slower than the normal SDA record!
- David Hocking did e4m2 in 0:38 using a big portion of precaution.
- And last but not least Robert Maglic's third demo for today, e4m7 in 0:45.
David Hocking also did e1m2 in
0:33, e3m6 in
0:30 and e4m7 in
0:49 but these aren't records since the demos presented above had already been sent in before David's demos made it to our inbox.
The same thing happened with SDA total newcomer Flávio Quadros. His e1m3 demo is 1:04 so it's 5 seconds faster than Paul but Robert's demo was sent earlier. Better luck next time!
Happy running.

Is it 2010 yet? - 20:26
There is a continous flow of demos coming in for these new categories, so I've decided to jump in and post an update before they pile up too much.
Careful runs
- e1m1 was improved to 0:24 by Tom Nguyen, beating my tablefiller by 5 seconds.
- There were two 1:09 submissions for e1m3 but Paul Davies sent it in first. This one is still not using the Zombie gib, so we can expect a further improvement soon.
- e1m5 was done in 0:41 by David Spickermann.
- Jaakko Alakopsa sent in 3 demos, e1m8 in 0:57
- e2m2 in 0:47
- and e4m6 in 1:17.
Cheated demos
- We all knew that Justin Fleck was cheating, and he was quite busy doing so last week. He filled all the marathon spots for all of id1.
- He did the easy run in 13:08.
- The EH was done in 45:18.
- He also improved the Nightmare Run by almost 2 minutes, getting a time of 14:12, while setting a new record of 2:54 on The Netherworld.
- And finally, the Nightmare 100% was done in 63:08, setting a new record for The Elder World of 20:32. You'd expect the advantages of invincibility and starting with all weapons to be worth more than such a small improvement.
- He also did two coops with Evan Wagner, an Easy 100% on e2m2 in 0:34
- and an Easy 100% on e4m1 in 0:33
Bunny Comparison
- 100m
- Jaakko Alakopsa got 11.80
- Jonathan Lenhardt got 11.42
- e1m1
- Thomas Stubgaard got 24.74
- e1m6
- Jaakko Alakopsa got 11.18
- Jonathan Lenhardt got 10.63
- e2m1
- Jaakko Alakopsa got 09.48
- e4m5
- Jaakko Alakopsa got 14.75
As a final note:
We will not be accepting Naked Runs anymore. They have turned out to be too similar to the Careful Runs, so they have been dropped in favor of that more challenging category.

First batch - 21:40
We've received a HUUUGE amount of different kinds of demos over these past two days. And that's great. Keep it up. All of the demos won't be in this update though, because we have to decide what to do with them first. What else is new... Oh yeah! I'm gonna use 24h time here :)
Careful runs
- e1m1 was done in 0:29 by David Spickermann. I think this one still can come down a couple more seconds.
- e1m2 was done in 0:36 by Paul Davies.
- e1m3 was done in 1:10 by Paul Davies.
- e1m4 was done in 0:43 by Paul Davies.
- Pif de Mestre also had a go at e1m4 but got 0:49 a bit after Paul already had sent in his demo above.
- e2m1 saw an interesting battle where Robert Maglic first got 0:11 using some raw bunny power.
- The same Robert Maglic immediately fought back and did the level in 0:07 using some raw bunny pr0n.
- e3m2 was done in 1:01 by David Spickermann at first...
- ...and the next day in 0:52, also by David Spickermann but this time using a shorter route :)
- e3m3 got a 0:49 by Paul Davies. Apparently there are more than a few ways to die on this one.
Naked demos.
Pif de Mestre is the only one who has tried these yet.
Cheated demos
- Pif de Mestre did the only cheated demo yet, a marathon run through the whole damn game. Finishing time is 15:59.
Bunny Comparison
- 100m
- e1m1
- Marek Bartoszek got 26.84

Here we go - 16:05
Before you know it, and before we even opened this section, it's time for the first demo update.
Careful runs
- I started off by doing e4m5 in 0:12.
- Thomas Stubgaard did e1m6 in 0:09.
- And then I was able to bunny yet another second off of e4m5 to get 0:11.
Naked demos
- Jim Leonard let an e1m3 nightmare 100% be his first quake demo ever, getting 6/47 monsters, in 5:09.
- He also did a nice demo on e1m6, a nightmare 100% in 13:12. This is a lot longer than Pif spent on the level, but since Jim got more monsters, this is the current record.
Cheated demos
- Thomas Stubgaard did the nightmare 100% on e1m4 in 1:32, 9 seconds faster than Arturo.
- And also a new nightmare 100% on e4m3 in 2:17, 17 seconds faster than his own old record.
Bunny Comparison has seen a lot of new demos lately, from a lot of old and new runners.
- 100m
- Thomas Bergendorff took the second spot in the list from Robert Maglic with 10.30.
- Jim Leonard got 11.55
- Laurent Mertens got 11.62
- Jonathan Lenhardt got 11.64
- e1m1
- Jonathan Lenhardt got 23.87
- e1m6
- e2m1
- e4m5
- I deprived Jozsef of his first place with my shiny 11.95
- Jonathan Lenhardt got 13.86

TeamSDA brings you the "Other Demos" section. It'll replace (and expand) Windlash and bunny comparison. Demos will be accepted in the following categories:
- Cheated runs and 100% on skills 0 and 3 using this progs. You start every demo fully armed and invulnerable to all kinds of damage. Both these categories, and the demos, are taken from Windlash.
- Naked runs and 100% on skills 0 and 3 using this progs. You have no weapons, and there is no ammo in the levels. The 100% demos are taken from Windlash, and the rule is that a demo with more kills is better than a faster demo with less monster kills. Runs are a new category.
- Careful runs on skill 0 using this progs. You start every demo with 1 health, and all powerups in the levels have been removed by Shub-Niggurath. This is a new category.
- Trick and egg demos are odd demos that we collected. Cool tricks and odd eggs. This is a new category.
- Bunny Comparison is nothing new. Just a fresh and more maintainable layout. Keep sending'em in, folks.
The competitive categories are open for all. Just send your records to the regular address. Coop demos, and trick and egg demos really have to be
good if we are to add them. The same goes for demos on custom levels - please don't send any crap tablefillers... As a general rule; keep it cool - keep it ID :)
